Thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors that make this race possible and special thanks to Jerry Downey for taking a crash couse in learning a new timing system to pull off this race in a timely manner. Also, thanks to Andy Hall for his endless amounts of course work, website and organizational skills for this and all of the PXCSF contribuitions. And lastly, thanks to Lance Clark and the staff of Mink Creek Nordic Center for all their help.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FUN RACE SERIES IS BACK 2008/09 Wednesday Night Fun Race SeriesFun Race: The Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation (PXCSF) is offering a free race series and tour every other Wednesday for the 08-09 Winter at the Mink Creek Nordic Area. The races and tours are about 5K and will alternate between classic and skate skiing. Tour:For those interested in a social ski a tour will immediately follow the start of each race. Tour participants are welcome to classic or skate. Yurt Dinner:You don't even have to be a skier to enjoy some potluck food in the heated yurt.
Fun Race # 2 1/14 It was small, but dedicated turn out for the mini pursuit Thursday. Thanks to Lance and Doug for helping to time. We had a couple hic-ups with timing, but still managed to pull it off. The conditions were very fast. Nice job racers!! Kudos for Joe finishing in the dark!!

Start Times12/30 “So long 2008 Classic”- Traditional Holiday Potluck; 4:30PM (Tuesday because the day after is New Year's Eve) 1/14 “Mini-Spud Pursuit and Potato Bar” (5K Classic/Skate)- Potato Cup Practice 4:45PM 1/28 “Italian Pasta Skate”- Ski like Paruzzi, eat like Pavarotti; 5PM 2/11 “Sons of Norway Classic” - Traditional Norwegian Fare; 5PM 2/25 “Smörgåsbord Skate” - Be a Swede for a night; 5:30PM
*For those that do not have both classic and skate skis just bring what you have. There are no age or ability restrictions. Have fun and celebrate the snow!
There is no charge for the races but a trail pass is required (reduced rate of $3 for each Fun Race/Tour).
